Ava.. Dead or Alive?

The scene of the inmates car crash on Mondays episode of General Hospital was an eventful one. While Johnny was holding Sonny at gunpoint, Carlos chased Ava down and shoved a gun in her face as well. As Ava pleaded for her life Carlos showed no signs of letting this feud go and soon after shot her! As we all covered our mouths and leaned into the screen, Ava turned to Carlos in shock and expressed her disbelief that he actually shot her! Carlos showed no remorse and continued to bitch about how she made him confess to the murder. Ava made a desperate attempt to move in on Carlos and he quickly resisted it which caused Ava to take a few steps back which landed her over the bridge! It appeared that she fell to her death but we knew better than that, Ava is relentless.

Meanwhile to our surprise while Johnny is holding Sonny at gunpoint, a badly wounded Julian shoots Johnny to spare Johnny from taking Sonny's life. [Side bar: I cant wait to see what their relationship is when they get out of prison] Sonny goes looking for Ava on the bridge and finds her bleeding profusely and dangling from the side of the bridge. Ava begs Sonny to help her but of course he isn't so quick to come to her rescue. He goes on and on about Connie.. [womp womp womp] and decided he is going to spare her life because he thinks thats what Connie would want him to do. After him wasting all that time running his mouth he then attempts to pull her up. Unfortunately by now Ava wasn't strong enough and (apparently neither was Sonny) to pull our beloved Ava up to safety...

Did Ava fall to her death or did she miraculously make it to safety?
