Spinelli: "Stone Cold?"

So at the end of todays episode "Jake" was hanging around the hospital with Carly and Elizabeth doing the necessary paperwork to checkout. Just at he was wrapping things up, Spinelli comes flying around the corner with Sam and stops dead in his tracks. His mouth drops and he blinks twice and calls out "Stone Cold?". At this point, Port Charles finest P.I. Sam (joke lol) looks at Spinelli confused.. then of course the show ends. Now in previews for Thursday it appears that Spinelli rants and raves that Stone Cold is alive which should be interesting. What will Spinelli say next when the man he thinks is Stone Cold turns around and has a different face then he expected?

So let's take a few minutes to be one of those completely annoying viewers that don't understand GH is JUST a soap and picks situations apart as if it were real life. Yes, we know Daytime TV has its own set of rules but still.. we have questions!

Why is it that Spinelli can recognize the frame of Jason but his very own wife and bestie can't? Why doesnt Sam recognize the love of her lifes hands, his piercing blue eyes, his mouth? Carly is more drawn to him then Sam so I'm guessing her intuition in more accurate then our lovely P.I., but still. This is a man she has known forever.. she slept with him! Why hasn't it clicked!?!? As far as Elizabeth, she is too busy throwing her panties at Port Charles's newest resident to notice anything.. At least she is being true to her normal slutty self is all i can so, so she gets a pass . Yes I said it!
