Hero, scam artist, reprobate, rapist, cheeky charmer and adventure junkie, these are just a few of the nicknames that have been given to Luke Spencer over the years and now we can add mentally unstable and double murderer to the list as well.

For the past 37 years Luke Spencer has been portrayed by the phenomenally talented Anthony Geary who by the way has deserved every Emmy win he has under his belt. This storyline is sure to win him another one because it was the best damn storyline GH has done in years. I always said that Luke was an amazingly flawed character whom I loved despite the fact that he always rubbed people the wrong way. It always makes me laugh when he irritates those who don't like him.

Over the past year General Hospital Anthony Geary has had us fans on the edge of our seats with the whole Luke/Fluke thing and lets be honest it began when he was kidnapped by Heather Webber and her goons upon finding out Heather had gagged and kidnapped Carly .

Heather in her sick deluded mind felt that was a betrayal for Luke to even discover what she'd done, when all he was trying to do was rescue his niece Carly from her crazy ass. and her goons when all he was trying to do was rescue his niece Carly.

Luke was locked up in Miscarriage and put in a blond wig so Heather Webber could escape the loony bin and it irritated the hell out of us fans who love our Luke.

Once Luke was discovered by Scott who went to visit Heather, poor Scott was locked up in the room with him, but he was soon rescued along with Luke by Anna Devane. But when Luke returned home safe and sound, he wasn't the same man that we all knew and loved, he was pervy with the women, waving a gun around threatening his friends and family , and even went as far as threatening Emma Drake and Spencer Cassadine.

Luke would never treat a child like that and frankly we were disgusted with the whole mess, we thought maybe it was someone parading as Luke. Everyone believed he was an impostor, and the fans were in shock when during a party at the Haunted Star the man we thought was an impostor tried to blow up his friends and family on the boat.

Thank goodness, no one got hurt , Luke was admitted into the hospital and we came to find out it was in fact Luke and apparently he was suffering from D.I.D (Dissociative identity disorder).

At the end of March and beginning of April 2015, Tracey, Lulu and Bobbie, were on a mission to find Luke once he disappeared, and they managed to find the address of Lulu's Aunt Patricia whom they discovered was still alive and they wanted to ask her a few questions about their childhood that may have caused Luke to have a psychotic break in personality.

Luke terrorised his poor niece Valerie whom we all became aware of, who appeared to be a sweet down to earth young lady who didn't deserve to be treated the way her uncle was treating her. Luke gagged her and screamed at her and even threatened to kill her which disgusted me to no end, because lets face it , it was hard to watch. If only Tracey and Lulu had followed their instincts and stayed near by to stop Luke from doing what he was doing. Thank goodness Lulu had the sense to contact Dante for help, but Luke was nowhere around when they showed up. Valerie tearfully explained that she had told Luke her mother was still alive and that Luke was going after her.

The bit of resistance was when Bobbie, and Tracey and Lulu showed up at Oak Hill and found Luke with Patricia, it was heartbreaking to watch this because as I said previously Luke would never harm anyone in his own family or so we thought. He was rude and obnoxious to the four women who clearly loves him the most and it wasn't until Tracey said she knew him to his very core Luke finally snapped out of it. The police showed up but our Spencer gals they reassured the police that everything was fine.

He was shocked that he had a gun and then ran off when Bobbie and Tracey weren't looking, but they had figured out where he went. Patricia insisted she go with Bobbie and Tracey to the old house and it was there that the whole truth came out.

Luke for these past 52 years had blocked out the fact that he had killed both his parents, he claimed he never met Bill Eckert , until the 1990's , but in a flashback we came to realize that Tim Spencer was an abusive drunk who disrespected his wife and children and treated them like crap. Poor Luke was told he was a wimp and a loser by his father, and poor Patricia jumped in to defend her mother and little brother, but promptly got smacked for daring to stand up to the bastard.

But it was when Luke was forced to practice his baseball bat swinging and he got angry with his father and went after him with the bat that he had accidentally hit his mother with the bat.

Patricia then drove her mama to the hospital, where she was looked after by Steve Hardy, but was told a few moments later that Lena had died. Such a sad scene .

Steve Hardy told Nurse Jessie Brewer that they would not contact Tim Spencer once Jessie suggested they should call him. Steve said that he knew the family, and had knowledge about how Tim beat his family on a regular basis and told Jessie to call Fred Eckert to break the news that his sister had died.

Ten year old Bill Eckert showed up at the hospital once he found out that his Aunt Lena had died. Patricia thought he was Luke but then realized that it was her cousin who was identical to her little brother. Bill had informed Patricia that his family tried in vain to get Lena away from Tim, but that he never let them see her.

Upon arriving back from the hospital they found Luke cowered in a corner , while his father laid dead on the floor and we saw an Adult Luke remembering swinging the bat and killing his dad. We also became aware that Patricia and Bill had buried Tim's body in the wall . Oh gross is all I've got to say.

Lena's death was an accident, but Tim Spencer deserved what he had coming to him. He abused his wife and kids long enough, and from the looks of things Luke was at the end of his rope. It was either his dad or him and he chose to save himself. Luke remembered Bill back in the 1990's saying that when he looked at him it was like looking at his own face. The sick part was that was exactly what Luke's demented drunk of a father said to him, except he told Luke that he was just like his dad. I beg to differ on that score.

Perhaps that is why Luke always took off on Laura and the kids any chance he got because he didn't want history repeating itself , he was afraid to be like his dad deep down although he would never admit it. I also believe that part of the reason Luke never warmed to Carly was deep down she reminded him too much of his mother.

At the end of the show we saw the younger version of Bill standing over the adult Luke with the younger Patricia and the younger Bobbie standing near Patricia and Tracey and Bobbie.

They say time heals all wounds, but this one has been plaguing Luke's brain for years. The amount of guilt and regret he's harboured over the years , but never reached out to anyone and told them his deepest darkest secret and fears.

Now its time for healing, Luke , Bobbie and and even the late Patricia. The truth has now come out so they can move on with their lives, and be a stronger family unit,in this time of family crisis and stand together as one. Hero, Scam artist or Villain you decide
