  • Sam gives Jake and Hayden tickets to the Nurses’ Ball, her compliments.

  • Hayden asks Ric to give her emergency funds — to make up for the blackmail.

  • Hayden drops an ominous bit of foreboding on Ric.

  • Hayden makes sure Nikolas is aware that he’s in up to his eyeballs with his own secret.

  • Carly gives Hayden one last chance to come clean before bringing the hammer down.

  • Ric confides in his daughter his intention to ask Elizabeth to be his wife. Molly approves, of course, bursting at the seams.

  • Elizabeth might even have a sense of what’s coming.

  • Ric has wedding bells on his mind when he designs an elaborate engagement proposal, possibly at the Nurses’ Ball.

  • Sonny believes Duke could be in over his head with this mob stuff.

  • Sonny intends to make it to the Nurses’ Ball in a little while to be with Carly.

  • Duke prepares to bear total responsibility for what he’s about to set in motion.

  • Ned gives Michael an ELQ report.

  • Rosalie furtively reports to Nikolas on ELQ business.

  • Michael must field a request from either his mom or his dad.

  • Someone totally from left field drops in on Sabrina.

  • Elizabeth and Jake find themselves compelled to be together, loving their stolen moments.

  • Anna and Agent Sloane luck onto an enlightening bit of info.

  • Olivia’s pregnancy may be in danger as she goes through alarming cramps.

  • Alexis happens to be there when Olivia bends over in pain, freaking out.

  • Alexis tries to get Olivia to relax, not overreact and make things worse.

  • In Olivia’s mind, this is karmic payback for denying Julian fatherhood.

  • Ned and Dante make sure Olivia’s treated at GH, but they’re scared for her.

  • Alexis shares with Julian that Olivia acted guilty of something, which was odd.

  • Sam finds out what Olivia’s trying to hide from Julian by eavesdropping, then goes straight to Patrick.

  • Sam rats Olivia out to Julian. Oh baby!

  • Lulu asks Nikolas to put up Valerie in his mansion on Spoon Island. He’s amenable.

  • Valerie noses into the Nikolas/Hayden angle, intrigued.

  • Morgan and Kiki run into an unexpected visitor hanging around at Silas’ abode.

  • Dr. Liesl Obrecht drops doubt about Nina into Franco’s ear, causing him to learn more for himself.

  • Franco and Nina have cause to discuss their status, where things stand.

  • Michael and Sabrina start to develop a connection beyond that of boss and employee. His appreciation deepens.

  • Sabrina uses Felix as a Michael-related sounding board.

  • The Nurses’ Ball, which kicks off on Friday, will become a shooting gallery. Lots of rumors flying around, including the one about Anna killing Duke and Jake saving Sonny and Carly from a planned hit in front of the MetroCourt on the red carpet.

  • Anna and Duke are still madly in love, but can’t bring themselves to do anything about it. The world gets in the way.

  • Spencer announces he will not go to the stupid Nurses’ Ball.

  • Lucy fans the flames of jealousy when Nathan and Ellie make their grand entrance on the red carpet of the Nurses’ Ball. It works on Maxie.

  • Spinelli walks in with Carly on his arm.

  • As Ric gets ready to ask Elizabeth to make an honest man out of him, in swoops Carly to blow his Hayden affair out of the water.

  • Nathan can’t quite believe Nina’s innocent after she behaves suspiciously.

  • Someone stuns Brad by showing up for—.

  • Lucas might choose the Nurses’ Ball to ask Brad to marry.

  • Julian targets Duke at the Nurses’ Ball, but his hit could harm Spencer and Emma, too.

  • Before Emma and Cameron can further their conversation, something gets in the way.

  • Spencer tries to romance Emma in the middle of the Nurses’ Ball when they should stick to the script.

  • Patrick’s parental concern increases when he cannot locate his daughter, or Spencer.

  • Sam intercepts Emma and Spencer, asking whether they should be backstage getting ready for their act.

  • Sam gets wind of Julian’s next hit. So does Jake, who acts fast to prevent disaster.

  • Olivia could be collateral damage.
