Hello fashionistas! Welcome back to your favorite place to check out all thing General Hospital fashion. This week, Port Charles continued to bring us the drama and epic moments during the Nurse’s Ball. So I decided to continue to bring you Nurse’s Ball fashion….also because nobody changed clothes, unless they were about to get busy so…LOL Let’s jump in!

There were several bad looks, and a couple looks that were not bad, per se, but could’ve been better. One of those looks was worn by Jordan Ashford. Jordan is gorgeous and has a body like a brick shithouse and I think this was a great gown for her to show that off in. The gown had an entirely sequined and red sheer top. The deep red of the gown looked fab on her and the dress ended in a train that was sequined just like the bodice of the gown. I sound like I love it right? I did…kinda. Jordan’s dress looked like it was a last minute decision that she picked up and didn’t have time to alter. #FashionFail.

Women have so many different shapes that it’s almost impossible to find a perfect fit unless you have model proportions or you’re just a lucky bitch. (Speaking of fit, did anyone peep the back roll on LuLu? She had the opposite issue. LOL) All I could look at was how low the sheer underarm part of the sleeve was cut and I hated how high the neck was; especially when I googled it and saw it on the model. I also hated the red sheer; that was the worst part. If it had been colorless, or the color of her skin, it would’ve given a better “invisible” look.

Elizabeth Webber is no stranger to my list. It almost feels like fashion bullying because everyone who knows me knows that I absolutely detest Elizabeth. But it’s not, I swear. (I know most of y’all just went “Mmmmhmm” but it’s cool.) Her dress was actually a little pretty but I hated the color. It was this like peachy pink color, sweetheart neckline (her boobs looked amazing) and floor length. Around her waist was a black sash tied in an elegant little bow but the drama was towards the bottom. A column of fluffy feathers all the way to the floor was the “highlight” and worst part of this dress. Sigh…It was awful. I’m all for drama, but it kind of reminded me of the popsicle stick projects kids do in art. You know…Elemers glue, stick, shit ton of feathers…And THEN, she had her hair in a ballerina bun. I hated the color. She really did look like a chicken that had been boiled and half plucked…they forgot her chicken legs. I just wish she didn’t look so…naked…and virginal. She looked waaay better after taming Jake’s (I mean Jason’s…sneaky bitch) snake. I’m just saying. #FashionFail, Liz. Poultry sheek is NOT in.

Sabrina (did anyone else say that with a sexy Latin accent , or just me?) Santiago was by far my biggest disappointment of the night. While I could appreciate her performance costume during the Haunted Starlets’ rendition of Megan Trainor’s “Dear Future Husband”, her gown for the ball was grade A, certified bullshit. Once again, I feel like it was too loose. Sabrina’s gown was this light pink and bubblegum color. The bodice of the dress was slightly sheer pink, drop waist and very structured, with a very princess-y, free flowing skirt. The gown also had cap sleeves. It was way too much dress. She gave me “first dance with daddy” and I wanted “sexy nanny” because she is capable of it. Once again, it’s a #fashionfail due to fit and also style. I would’ve loved to see her in something more fitted that showed off those beautiful curves. I am a fan of structure in a gown, so I did like the work in the top of the dress. I didn’t hate the color sheer on this gown completely because it didn’t wash her out like Jordan’s did. All in all, this dress looked like a hand-me-down from a teenage coming of age party…and her hair was whack. No Bueno, Sabrina.

This week, we welcome Alexis Davis back to our #FashionForward list. Alexis’ gown was very modest compared to the others. It was not sheer at all. The gown was a brilliant deep blue and long sleeved. It had an asymmetrical peplum at the natural waist (that would be a little further up than where your low rise jeans sit…think mom jeans and you got it.) and a straight skirt that flared slightly towards the bottom. She kept her hair down and in soft curls; very natural. It sounds simple, but it was fabulous. Like I said before, I am a big fan of structured gowns. I love a dress that holds it’s shape every now and again. Alexis’ dress makes your eye move and is great for creating an hourglass shape if you don’t have one. I am so glad to see the “color of Port Charles” as I like to call it, at the ball.

Since we’re talking about structured gowns and peplum, can we please shout of Dr. Obrecht? Whether you love her or hate her, Dr. O showed up and slayed in that all red two piece suit with her red stilettos. She had her collar flipped up, which gave the outfit even more height and another structural element. And those red leather gloves? Priceless.

Carly Corinthos-Jax can do no wrong. Her gown was one of my (and Kim’s) favorites. Carly wore a teal lace gown that was, of course, sheer. It had scalloped lace detail along the arms and bust and was sleeveless. This gown featured silver sequin detail which popped against the blue hue she wore. This dress looked even more beautiful under the stage lights at the Nurse’s Ball when Carly exposed Ric for the lying bastard he is. I truly believe Carly will be #FashionForward until she dies. You can’t be a mob boss’ baby mama, and NOT know how to serve hot fashion at an event. Even her simple hairstyle worked. I love the length of Carly’s hair; not impossibly long but not short either. She can just let it do its thing and it will look amazing. (Plus she’s got a great head of hair regardless.) This dress was delicately styled but it look very commanding on Carly. Her gown was the definition of a perfect fit and it looked like her body was made of teal lace. If you could pour lace, I would tell y’all that’s how this dress was made, LOL. Hot, hot, HOT!

Last, but most definitely not least, is the most #FashionForward woman who ever graced the Nurse’s Ball. The Mistress of Ceremonies and forever my fashion muse, Miss Lucy Coe. It was only right to give her this honor again, because not only did she kill the red carpet, she completely shut it down with her many wardrobe changes. There was that teal gown that was to die for, the black and white color block ball gown and that gorgeous red gown. Lucy is another woman who knows how to rock a fitted gown. This red gown was backless and floor length. Miss Coe gave us body all night long, especially when she was caught, again, in her undies. This year though, we got sex kitten in a black lace bodysuit. (I personally think Duke was crazy to let that go. RIP…dummy.) The best part of this gown was the sleeves. They were all blinged out metal hardware, no fabric at all. It also featured a blinged out sash that glittered while she was on stage. Lucy looked like she took a bath in Benjamins before drinking champagne as she poured herself into her fabulous couture… And I fucking loved it. The epitome of beauty and class, I sat by glued to General Hospital waiting to see what she would wear next and screaming “WORK Lucy!” at my television. True shit. She had so many damn looks that we’d be here until this weekend talking about them. Just know that Lucy put on a fashion clinic at this year’s Nurse’s Ball, and everyone in Port Charles better recognize.

That does it for this week, and the 2015 Nurse’s Ball! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, and I can’t wait to see the fashion next year. As always, thanks for reading! Let me know what you think, do you agree? Check back here this weekend for what’s new, hot and horrible on the Port Charles fashion scene!
