Kelly Monaco kills romance rumors

Man oh man you guys are loyal fans I swear lol. Earlier we posted about 5 Real Life General Hospital Couples and one that made that list was Kelly Monaco (Sam) and Billy Miller (Jason). We were just sharing the info... not sure what was exactly current or even valid and you guys were on it like the loyal attentive GH fans you are. So with that being said I decided not to be lazy and to look into that relationship and found an article about Kelly Monaco inquisitr.com from October 2015

Are they or aren’t they? Kelly Monaco answered that question on whether she and co-star Billy Miller are really heating things up off the set. General Hospital fans have been wondering what was up ever since photos came out in July showing them frolicking together in Malibu.

The twosome was seen running around on the beach having fun, but the snapshots of them getting cozy in the ocean waves were most questionable. They were at a get-together at a Malibu beach house that good friend Cheryl Burke had rented for a party with friends. Kelly and Cheryl have become good friends ever since the General Hospital actress appeared on Dancing with the Stars. According to Soap Hub, Monaco explained what those intimate photos were all about.

“Billy and I were hanging out with a bunch of friends. We went into the ocean, like many friends do. The picture looks like it’s a little more intimate than it is.”

It is true that many other people were hanging out together. Kelly was seen in her bikini playing ball with some other friends as well. However, she was much cozier with Billy than with anyone else. Of course, they do work together very closely, and as Monaco pointed out, they do hang out together off the set quite often.

“Billy has become a very good friend. I’m one of the only single people on the show and so it Billy. So we hang out with friends and socialize outside of work.”

It’s great that they struck up a friendship outside of work, but those rumors have been swirling on a possible romance for a while now. Fans of the soap may have been hoping for a real-life romance between those two, but Kelly Monaco says otherwise, even though the photos sure looks like a romance is blooming between them.

There were also rumors of some tension on the set of GH between Kelly and Billy and their co-stars, according to a report last month by Celeb Dirty Laundry. It said that the actors were not happy about this new romance between them off-set. They said that they were jealous that they would become a super couple on and off the set.

Of course, these are just rumors. It is doubtful that anyone would be jealous of a couple who would decide to start dating outside of work. As CDL had pointed out, there have been relationships formed with a few GH stars that are still together now. Kirsten Storms and Brandon Barash, as well as Rebecca Herbst and Michael Saucedo, are now married with kids.
